The Eskimos of Northern Alaska call the musk ox 'Oomingmak', which means ‘animal with skin like a beard’.",

The female has smaller horns, and her head is covered with whitish-gray hair.<br><br>  The musk ox weighs between 400 and 885 pounds and reaches a length of 7 feet.",
